Botanical Description
Fagus sylvatica, also known as the Common or European Beech, is a large deciduous tree native to much of western and central Europe, including southern England. In wild and semi-natural settings, it is a characteristic canopy tree of temperate European forests and woodlands, often creating dense shade and relatively open, leaf-littered forest floors.
In woodland, the Common Beech often forms a tall, straight trunk with ascending limbs and a dense crown. In open settings it can develop a broader, more spreading form with large smooth branches and a rounded canopy. Mature trees commonly reach around 30–40 metres.
Outside its native range, the Common Beech is widely planted in temperate regions, including Britain, Ireland, and North America. It is commonly used in parks, gardens, estates, avenues, formal hedges, and ornamental plantings.

Viridius
Photogrammetry capture for production foliage
Viridius captures foliage in the field and turns it into production assets: photogrammetry of whole trees and branch clusters, colour-managed under controlled light, then cleaned, retopologised and textured for real-time and offline rendering.

Every pack in the library is scanned, built and checked the same way, so a beech from one season sits beside an oak from another without a seam. The studio works with production teams directly on species they need next.

Every asset is sold on one ladder, each rung a different licence at a different texture resolution. Indie (4K textures): commercial use, for a business earning <€100k a year, for solo creators and small teams. Pro (8K textures): commercial use, for a business earning <€1M a year, for established independent studios. Studio (16K textures): commercial use, for a business earning >€1M a year, for larger studios and client production pipelines. The revenue figures are your own annual revenue as a business, not the budget of the project the asset goes into. Pick the rung that matches how the work will be used, not just the resolution you want.
Yes. Buying a higher rung later upgrades the licence and unlocks the larger textures, and you pay the difference rather than the full price again. During early Store testing we handle upgrades manually; later this moves into self-serve account management.
Each rung ships the same meshes and differs only in texture resolution. 512 is a study size for non-commercial work, 4K suits most real-time scenes, 8K holds up under close shots, and 16K is for cinematics and offline rendering where the tree fills the frame. Larger textures are much larger downloads, so the file list beside the buy button is worth a look before you choose.
After checkout, purchased assets appear in your dashboard with secure Cloudflare R2 download links. Every rung you own stays downloadable, including the smaller resolutions your licence covers.
